After I had a successful attempt at making a skirt for myself out of a tablecloth, I thought I'd give it another go. This time, I wanted a 50's style vintage tablecloth complete with strawberries or cherries, and pink...or of course, turquoise. I found one on etsy for a very reasonable price, and could hardly wait to make the skirt again, using my preciously drafted pattern from Sew What! Skirts!
So, here's another example of what you can do with the fun book that we're giving away here.
The book gives you a couple of options regarding how you lay out your pattern on the tablecloth. Check out how the back looked like on my previous skirt here. This time, I tried a little different variety, and love it! sorry about the wrinkles...it was ironed before I sat in the car!
I made this skirt 3-4 inches longer than the other one (the tablecloth was a little bit longer) and I love, love, love this one!
Do you have any fabulous tablecloths you could make something pretty out of? I'm aftaid I have 1 more coming that I can't resist! (it's mustard...and it's double-sided!)

**special thanks to Thacker Berry Farms, who sell the yummiest strawberries in Orange County! They were kind enough to allow us to storm their stand in Huntington and take some really fun pictures! Click here for a list of locations or to find a stand near you!
